2010 – 2011 ASPL Committees and Objectives

Sponsorship and Partner Development Committee
Works with the Board of Directors to maintain the fiscal strength and integrity of ASPL.  In charge of all fundraising for ASPL including conference sponsorships, Next Steps Campaign, Award Honoraria.  Coordinates outreach efforts to establish positive relationships with similar organizations.

Education & Scholarship Committee
Plans educational programming and secure speakers for ASPL’s Fall Seminar, ASPL Pharmacy Law track at APhA's annual meeting, and any other conferences that ASPL may sponsor or co-sponsor.  Also coordinates the awarding of the Simonsmeier and Legal Research Awards.

Communications & Member Relations Committee
Coordinates the publication of the ASPL newsletter (RX Ipsa Loquitur) and Pharma E-News, the monthly electronic newsletter by assisting the editor in identifying and contributing articles.   Focuses on retaining and increasing ASPL membership.   Identifies potential member services and develops marketing plan for these services.

Finance & Audit Committee
Oversees the auditing and filing of all required tax/informational returns with government agencies; ensures an annual financial audit is conducted; works with ASPL staff to develop preliminary and final budgets.
