ASPL Launches Next Steps Capital Campaign
At the March 29, 2003 ASPL Annual Meeting and Luncheon in New Orleans incoming
ASPL President Gary Cacciatore announced that ASPL is beginning its first ever
capital campaign, the ASPL Next Steps Campaign. As a voluntary, non-profit organization,
ASPL has always relied on modest dues from members and contributions to provide
educational programming and publications to those interested in pharmacy law
issues. The ASPL Next Steps Campaign is a three year campaign with a goal of
raising $200,000 to allow ASPL to take the “next step” as the national professional
association for persons with an interest in legal issues that affect the practice
of pharmacy. The campaign provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations
to provide gifts to the Operational Excellence Fund which will used to maintain
and improve existing services of the Society as well as develop new services
such as the attorney referral service and expert witness listing service which
are currently being developed. The campaign also allows contributions to be
made to fund specific projects such as the Pharmacy Law Resource Center, Scholarships
for Teachers of Pharmacy Law, and the Pharmacy Law Symposium. President Cacciatore
announced that the campaign has already received pledges of nearly $33,000 from
individual ASPL members.
Donors will be recognized at the following levels of contributions:
ASPL is a 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions to the Next Step Campaign are tax deductible.
